English Admiral Duncan (pub)

The Admiral Duncan is a public house in Old Compton Street, Soho in central London that is well known as one of Soho's oldest gay pubs. It is named after Admiral Adam Duncan, who defeated the Dutch fleet at the Battle of Camperdown in 1797.

In 1999, the pub was the scene of a nail bomb attack carried out by neo-Nazi David Copeland.

El Admiral Duncan es un pub en Old Compton Street, Soho, en el corazón del barrio gay de Londres. Su nombre procede del almirante Adam Duncan, I vizconde Duncan de Camperdown, que derrotó a la flota neerlandesa en la batalla de Camperdown en 1797. El local es conocido por haber sido objetivo de un ataque con bomba realizado por el neonazi David Copeland el 30 de abril de 1999, en el que murieron tres personas, entre ellos, una mujer embarazada de cuatro meses.
